Story Board: Arts Festival 2012

Our Rich Task in Term 4 Was Story Telling:  our fertile question was who keeps the story alive?  We discovered that you can keep a story alive in many different ways, through dance, art, poetry, oral language, and written form.

We also studied John Pule as an artist and story teller.  John Pule is a Nuiean born artist who has lived in Aotearoa- New Zealand since he was 3 year old.  We loved learning about his art and creating our interpreted piece of his called   Hake aga Patopato.

We told our own stories using symbols of our grandparents, childhood, living in auckland and school life- a  Story Board worth reading!

Stories with our Grandparents - Grandparent Day.

A big thank you to our Grandparents' who came and shared our story with us on Tuesday 7th of August.  We learnt a lot about how school  use to be, the first TV and life in Fiji.

We also had shared our food from our own Room 26 Garden.  We call this Garden to Table.

It is another way that a story is told through food.  We are discovering that nearly all things have a story and we are part of a story creating history.
